I started playing games as a kid on the Nintendo DS and the Wii. Eventually, I built my own PC to experience state of the art graphics and storytelling in games like the Witcher III. Now, I make games to unleash my creative energy and hone my software engineering ability.
My favorite topics of study were operating systems and distributed systems because of the deep forethought required to build the assigned projects. I also loved the History of Art as an outlet from the engineering work that dominated my time.
An iterative process of designing, implementing, playtesting, then analyzing (and repeating) is how I've rapidly produced complete experiences with a small team. Success relies on communication and continuous feature integration.
I love the fusion of open ended problem solving required to build game mechanics and the joy of iterating to a great design with a super team. I create action-focused games that weave in atmosphere and storytelling.
Drawing from the fount of visual cultures I've studied plus the books, movies, and other games I've been exposed to makes me well suited to concieve interesting, grounded visual design that I can quickly realize in-game.
I develop games in the Unity editor and write my scripts in C#. The pixel art I design is hand animated in Aseprite.
I'm searching for any way into the games industry. Creating games is a passion I aim to turn into my livelihood.
